Welcome to The Hammond Jazz Inventory
You might or might not know The Hammond Jazz Inventory. For you who don't: The Hammond Jazz Inventory is a website that is entirely dedicated to jazz music in which the organ plays a significant role. It contains discographies, reviews, blogs, orghammograms, sound samples, links and more. It's very clickable. It's primary design goal was to reveal the relationships beween musicians; who recorded with who on what album.

+300 Albums
We now list more then 300 albums complete with tracklisting, musicians etcetera. We have added some rare stuff lately. About 10% of the albums have 3 or more sound samples you can listen to. In the near future we plan to add much more soundsamples to the site. In the meantime you can listen to all of them on our new music page.

New, an album rating system
We would like to pay some attention to a new functionality on the The Hammond Jazz Inventory; an album rating system. Every one can now contribute a rating between 1 and 10 for any of the listed albums. The following pictures will illustrate the process.

As you can see on the picture above, no one has ever rated this album yet. If the current visitor wants to give an 8 rating to this album, he (or she) points the mouse at the 8 following "Your rating:" and clicks the mouse. Et voila:

If the user moves the mouse over the picture, detailed information on the rating will appear beneath the stars. The ability to give a rating has disappeared as can be seen in the next picture.

Voting is on an ip address basis. Only one vote per ip address per album is accepted. If the visitor wants to rate a certain album a second time, he will have to find another computer with a different ip address. That is, every ip address visiting the site can rate every album just once. From another computer the same page will look like this:

Just go in and start giving opinions here.
