| The roots of this music is in the boogaloo where blues and doo wop met R&B and fused with rock and roll, soul Latin mambo and son montuno. From the liner notes, we didn't make this up our self. We add: a plain party. |
| This album is on the edge of our definition of Hammond jazz. It's a feast, there's some organ, the roots are in the boogaloo (think of Lou Donaldson), it's from Amsterdam and you will dance. These things persuaded us to list it in The Hammond Jazz Inventory. And, we almost forgot, it contains a cover of "Move your Hand" of the doctor. May the samples convince you. |
